Update from the Dominican Mission Team
Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 5:42PM Back from 1/2 of Day 3. We started a 3 day VBS today at Roca Fuerte. There were three groups of kids and 4 stations with about 125 kids today. We did sports, crafts, music, and a Bible story. The story for today was David and Goliath and the craft was the salvation bracelets and necklaces. We also played soccer and jumped rope with the kids during rec. We have taken an early break today to rest and eat and go back to the neighborhood to walk the streets and share our testimonies with residents and invite people to the first offical church service at the new place. Breakfast has been good at the hotel, lunches are dominican style with rice beans and chicken, and dinner has been pretty much american at the Burnett home. Spaghetti last night and burgers tonight. Tonight Manuel will preach and we are going to have two people share thier testimonies in service. Pray for new people to come to the church and for them to respond to the message of salvation through preaching and personal testimony. Thank you for those who are praying.
